Fascinated by the odd, inspired by colour

— is how I’d explain my curiosity. It’s a way of looking at life a little differently: embracing the weird, and the colourful.
It pushes me to stay inspired and creative, and find beauty in places I might not normally look.

I’m Samaneh!

A chronic doodler—Margins, corners, entire pages…
no notebook is safe! They all end up filled with spontaneous sketches of faces, patterns and designs. Some of these doodles take on a life
of their own and grow into full-fledged art pieces. Others find a cozy home in my dedicated “random doodles” sketchbook—a whole collection celebrating the chaos of
creativity running through my brain.

I am an Iranian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist working across
oil painting, digital art, and mixed media. As an immigrant and someone shaped by the intersection of two distinct worlds, my creative practice translates personal experiences into visual narratives rooted in healing, resilience, and hope.

Bold contrasts of colour, textures and shapes, are not merely an aesthetic decision, but intentional acts of resistance and renewal. These visual languages allow me to imagine and construct a world brighter than the one I’ve known.

Deeply connected to my Iranian heritage, I draw inspiration from its rich history of art and poetry. Whether on canvas or in digital form, my work offers a space where colour speaks, memory is reshaped, and imagination becomes a tool for emotional restoration. Through it, I invite you to feel intensely and discover joy in the unexpected.
